There is wisdom in the body.
There is healing in being heard.
There is power in stillness.

The Still Point

The Still Point is a CranioSacral Therapy, meditation and wellbeing practice created by Megan Roche in the peaceful countryside of East Cork.

At the heart of my work is CranioSacral Therapy (CST). This is a gentle, hands on therapy that I offer to adults, children and infants.

I have particular interests in women’s health, matrescence, neurodivergent women and the nervous system, alongside experience supporting people affected by cancer, burnout, stress and periods of significant change.

My own relationship with CranioSacral Therapy began long before it became my profession. I first experienced CST as a young teenager with what I know now was ADHD, and returned to the work years later, beginning my professional training with the Upledger Institute in 2016.

CranioSacral Therapy has since accompanied me through some of the biggest transitions in my own life; fertility, pregnancy, motherhood and those seasons where life asks you to find your way back to yourself again.

After almost a decade working in corporate HR, recruitment and diversity & inclusion, I established The Still Point in 2024.

But the path here hasn't been particularly linear.

My first degree was in TV, Radio & New Media Broadcasting, and I was especially drawn to documentary making. I loved real stories; sitting with people, listening properly and giving someone the space to tell their story in their own words.

Looking back, I can see a thread running through all of it.

I've always been curious about people. About what shapes us, what we carry, what we don't always say out loud, and what can happen when someone feels genuinely listened to.

That curiosity is still very much at the heart of how I work today. I don't believe that I need to have all the answers for the person in front of me. I believe in listening to the person, to the body and to what is presenting in that moment.

And outside the treatment room...

I live in the East Cork countryside surrounded by the beautiful chaos of family and farm life.

Nature is a huge part of how I find my own still point. I love the sea, being outside and noticing the changing seasons. Give me a sauna in the pouring rain, followed by a sea dip, and I'm very happy.

I love music, the kind that stops you in your tracks as much as the kind you can dance around the kitchen to. I love a cosy night by the fire, good food, laughter, and a deep, meaningful conversation with a friend; or occasionally a complete stranger.

I'm fascinated by people's stories and by the different ways we find our way through life.

And perhaps that is ultimately what The Still Point has become.

Not somewhere that assumes there is something wrong with you that needs to be fixed, and not somewhere with a prescribed version of what healing should look like.

Just a place to slow down, be met where you are, listen a little more closely and perhaps reconnect with something within yourself.

Every person has a different story. The Still Point is simply a place to begin.

Learning to find stillness for yourself

I teach the 1 Giant Mind Learn to Meditate course over three days, giving you a simple meditation practice that you can continue independently for life.

For me, meditation is a beautiful accompaniment to CranioSacral Therapy.

Hands-on treatment gives you an opportunity to be supported, slow down and experience stillness. Meditation gives you a way to begin accessing that stillness for yourself at home and in your everyday life.

Three days to learn. A practice for life.

Ultimately, my intention isn't that you feel you need to return to the treatment table again and again.

It is to support you in developing a deeper connection with yourself, your body, your needs and your own inner wisdom.

More than a treatment room

The Still Point has continued to evolve.

While one to one CranioSacral Therapy remains at the heart of what I do, I am passionate about exploring different ways people can experience this work; individually, in community, in nature and alongside other therapeutic practices.

I love collaborating with other practitioners and bringing different modalities together in ways that feel thoughtful, accessible and human.

This led me to create my Mother & Baby Circle, where mothers can receive gentle hands on CranioSacral touch while remaining alongside their babies. There is no need to find childcare, leave your baby behind or wait until life feels less chaotic to receive some care yourself.

I also offer through collaboration with Sound Bath & CranioSacral Therapy experiences, where therapeutic touch and sound come together to create space for deep rest.

The Still Point now extends into retreats, intimate gatherings, corporate wellbeing experiences and Equine Assisted CranioSacral Therapy, bringing the work beyond the traditional treatment room and into community, workplaces and nature.

There is no one way to begin.

You might come for CranioSacral Therapy.

You might learn to meditate.

You might arrive with your baby, experience the work alongside sound, join a retreat, encounter it through your workplace or find yourself receiving a treatment in the quiet presence of a horse.

Every person has a different story.

Every journey looks different.

The Still Point is simply a place to start.

“Every treatment protocol should be dictated by the wisdom of the patient’s own body.”
— Dr John E. Upledger

At The Still Point, I don't believe there is one path to healing.
Every body, every story and every journey is different.
The Still Point is simply a place to begin.
